Alpha 1.1 patch notes


Mostly a clean-up and functionality update as I keep building the core systems out.

What’s New:

  • Enemies can now split into smaller ones starting around Wave 15.

    • The chance increases as you progress through the waves.

  • Added a maximum enemies on screen cap to help with performance.

    • The smaller split enemies don’t count toward this limit.

  • Escape key now pauses the game (alongside P).

  • Updated the version label to Alpha 1.1.

Tweaks & Fixes:

  • Rebalanced the enemy scaling after Wave 19 to feel smoother.

  • Accidentally left the max enemy cap at 5 during testing — that’s fixed now. Apologies to those who found the alien invasion... underwhelming." (hotfix)  

  • Cleaned up a leftover shield powerup from the middle of the screen. (hotfix)

  • Slight adjustments to how shields behave when hit.
