Alpha 1.0 Launch


This game has been worked on many times then forgotten about for just as long, however this is a remake of a remake of a game I made in 2018 as a college project, the reason I remade the remake is due to getting better with the coding, so I started from scratch getting rid of a bunch of useless code etc.

This initial build includes a working wave system with enemies spawning randomly around the edges. Bosses appear every 10 waves and scale in difficulty. The player can fire with a main cannon, unlock a dual shot mode, and collect rockets which explode on impact. There's an overheat system that limits how much you can shoot at once, and a one-hit shield that can be picked up as a powerup.

The upgrade system lets you improve cooldown speed, fire rate, and accuracy using points gained from defeating bosses. Upgrade costs scale gradually, and each upgrade has a level cap. Powerups have a 15% chance to drop from enemies and include stronger bullets, dual shot, rockets, and shields. Most of the core mechanics are in and functioning, including UI elements for health, rockets, and overheat.

This version uses minimal UI and placeholder visuals, also I haven't added the splitting of the UFO's yet mostly because I ran into an issue with the smaller ones just spinning around like idiots even though I set them to come towards the player but oh well they will be added in a later version, yes i know the tutorial can be improved, that will also be in a later update any way please play and break the game, feel free to rage at me for not adding simple features or anything else. thanks - blaze
